Terms of Use
Last updated September 25, 2026
These terms apply when you use the Wity website, the Playground or the Wity API. By using them you agree to these terms. If you use Wity for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you can bind it.
The Service#
Wity (“we”, “us”) provides a System 1.5 model that returns typed decisions and short generated text through an API, a browser Playground and documentation (together, the “Service”). On-premises deployments, committed volume and enterprise support are covered by a separate written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms where they differ.
Accounts and API keys#
- Give us accurate details when you request a key, and keep them current.
- Keep your API keys secret. You are responsible for all use made with your keys; tell us promptly if one is exposed.
- You must be at least 16, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
Your content#
You keep all rights to what you send to the Service and to the outputs it returns for you. You give us permission to process your inputs only as needed to provide the Service. We do not use them to train models. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and keep.
You are responsible for having the rights and consents needed to send your inputs, including any personal data in them.
Acceptable use#
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights, or help others do so.
- Use Wity to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people (for example about credit, employment, housing, insurance or access to essential services) without meaningful human review.
- Build surveillance, discrimination, harassment, fraud, spam or malware with the Service.
- Probe, scan or test the Service's security, or get around rate limits, quotas or access controls.
- Overload or disrupt the Service, or share, sell or resell API keys or access without our written agreement.
- Try to extract the model, its weights or its training data, or use outputs to build a competing model.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts the Service or other users at risk, and will tell you why when we can.
Outputs and your responsibility#
Wity is a statistical model and can be wrong. Confidence scores are signals, not guarantees. You decide how to act on outputs: use the confidence on each decision to choose when to act and when to escalate, validate generated text before it touches anything important, and keep a human in the loop where mistakes would be costly.
Fees#
Usage is billed at the rates on our pricing page or in your agreement with us, based on the usage the API reports. While the Console is in preview, billing is arranged directly. We will give at least 30 days' notice before raising prices; fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for.
The Playground#
The Playground is free, for trying Wity out. It is rate-limited, may change or go offline at any time, and is not for production or automated use.
Our rights#
We own the Service, including the model, software, documentation, website and the Wity name and marks. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as described here; they do not give you any other rights in it. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
Changes to the Service#
We improve the Service often. We may add, change or remove features. For changes that break the public API, we will give reasonable advance notice in the docs or by email.
Disclaimers#
Except as expressly stated in a written agreement with us, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and that the Service or its outputs will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability#
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity#
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your inputs, your use of outputs, or your breach of these terms.
Ending use#
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as fees owed, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity) survive termination.
General#
We may update these terms; we will post the new version here with a new date, and notify account holders by email of material changes before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept them. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent. These terms, together with any written agreement with us, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
